The Railway Recruitment notification for Group C was released on 03-02-2018. It asks for a single application for all posts (Assistant Loco Pilots and Technicians). Last date for the registration of the online application is 31-03-2018 (23:59 hrs.).
The Railway Recruitment Notification for Group D was released on 10-02-2018. The last day for the submission of online application is 31-03-2018 (23:59 hrs.).
The examinations are to be held tentatively in the month of April/May.
The total number of vacancies according to the Centralized Employment Notification (CEN 02/2018) for Group D posts is 62907.
Group D posts consists of career as Track Maintainer, Porter, Helpers in Electrical/ Mechanical/ Engineering/ Signal and Telecommunication Department, Gateman, Pointsman, Cabinman, Safaiwala, Leverman, Peon, Switchman, Khalasi, Gangman, Vendor, Sanitary Cleaner, Fitter, Keyman, Hospital Attendant and Welder.
The pay Scale for Group D is Level 1 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix with an initial pay of Rs. 18000 along with other emoluments. The overall salary after adding the perks and allowances will be Rs. 23000-25000/-.
Career Growth for Group D posts: After 3 years work experience you can get promoted by taking departmental exams to Group C.

ITI from an institution recognized by NCVT/SCVT OR
National Apprenticeship Certificate granted by the NCVT
